At this point, I have to acknowledge that the “Omron HJ-112 pedometer” is extremely sensitive to any vibrations, even vibrations from a car or motorbike, and it counts them as steps. You will find it very irritating that “it counts way too many steps” even if you are relatively motionless throughout the day.

Another serious issue is that this pedometer only counts fast and even steps, which simply means that it “does not count slow, uneven gait”. It is also true that it imposes you “a big list of limitations” of what it can and what it cannot actually count. In the end, you get frustrated that this pedometer always makes you “wonder how much you really walked”.
